The stanley cup contenders have now been reduced to four teams. In the east, Pittsburg will be facing the Flyers. In the west, Detroit will go against Dallas.  It is kind of amusing if you look closely at these teams.

First off, Pittsburg vs Flyers, a young team against another. The penguins of course have about an age average of 23-25 years old. the flyers are not that much older either.  Two very young teams facing off with each other can mean nothing less than an exciting series.

For Detroit and Dallas, a little less young, but with far more experience in the playoffs. Detroit have been in the playoffs for about 50 years straight if not more..with pretty much the same players…:) Dallas in the other hand have always been questioned for their goal tending ever since Marty Turco has been in net. This year seems to be going in the right direction for Turco who has been solid in the post-season, especially in that marathon match they had agaisnt San Jose that finished in the fourth overtime period. Lets face it though, Detroit has the experience over Dallas.

With all that said, We are going to get a pretty awsome Stanley cup finals when this round is over. Surely there will be a young team in the finals, Pittsburg or Philadelphia, agaisnt a more experienced team, Detroit or Dallas. I personally would love to see a Penguins vs Red Wings finale. Youth vs experience..who do you think would win?
