Officially over..
Well, it is now over and done with. For me, the final series pitting Pittsburgh against Detroit was full of ups and downs.
First for the positive. Two very good teams where facing each other. Each team deserved to be in the finals. Thats pretty much all the positive I have found..Oh yeah, it finished early.
Negatives. What a boring series..I am sorry to say that if this is the show that the two best teams in the NHL can give, we are in for trouble. Except the game where fleury stopped 75 shots..The rest was far from outstanding. Only Red Wings fans can be happy about the out come.
The Penguins seemed lost from the start and the Red Wings didn’t even seem to break a sweat during the series. Congrats to Detroit, but we need a change.
NHL awards
To no ones surprise, Alexander Ovechkin won every trophy he was nominated for..Maybe he should goal a couple of games to take away the Vézina from Brodeur.
As for the coach of the year, I was rooting for Carboneau. How can anyone not like Bruce Boudreau though? He seems to be a hello of a guy.
